Geoffrey Blyth, Managing Director
Geoffrey is responsible for the development of new products and services. He works with key opinion leaders in the area of gastroenterology and is always keen to learn about new technologies from the experts in this field. His proudest moments are when he meets a patient who has been cured thanks to advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic systems.
Prior to joining SynMed Geoffrey spent 15 years building a group of language and computer schools in Thailand and 2 years developing a hotel complex in New Zealand. Geoffrey is a keen linguist speaking fluent Thai, Mandarin and a smattering of French, German and Italian. Geoffrey has also lived in Australia and experienced life as an exchange student in China.
Stuart Blyth, Director & Products Specialist
Stuart joined SynMed after taking a business degree at university. Stuart works with our product specialists on our complete range of products and spends much of his time out in hospitals engaged with clinicians and their teams in demonstrations of latest technologies, installing software and training to ensure the best results for patients.
In his leisure time Stuart enjoys tinkering with cars, listening to music and socialising. He likes to spend time in hot sunny places when holidays come around.
Karen Miller, assistant to MD
Karen brings postgraduate qualifications in Institutional Management and a broad depth of management and administrative experience to SynMed. Committed to SynMed’s vision, Karen ensures that we focus on the details that matter so that we continue to excel in the supply and support of leading products in the field of gastroenterology.
Karen likes to garden and play badminton and gets pleasure from 25 mile long bicycle rides on the weekends.
Tracy Fitzsimmons, Business Development Liaison
Tracy is eminently qualified in sales and customer service with an impressive working history in general sales management for high street fashion stores in the UK and in Spain and Germany. At SynMed Tracey focuses on bringing you news and information on the most innovative diagnostic and therapeutic technology currently under development.
Tracy finds time for yoga and pilates and is currently training hard for a Power Walk half-marathon to raise funds for cancer research. She still enjoys picking up a pencil or brush and being creative with the skills she learnt at art school.
Anthony Blyth, Senior Product Specialist
Anthony is our go anywhere, anytime, technical support person. He services and maintains computers and carries out basic repairs to ensure our customers are always up and running, day or night.
When Anthony isn’t pursuing his interest in technology and software systems at work, he takes to the outdoors wakeboarding and windsurfing or stays in playing the guitar, listening to music and socialising with friends.
Dean Borrow, Product Specialist Dean joined Synmed after more than 11 years experience working in the NHS at Guys and St Thomas’s NHS foundation trust. He brings a wealth of practical expertise in Endoscopy and has read in excess of 1500 capsules. Dean supports our Capsule users in addition to other products within our range.
Dean doesn’t have much spare time as he has three young children, but enjoys the occasional game of poker.
Eleni Kyriacou, Administration & Events Manager Eleni enjoys bringing innovative new products to your attention, arranging training seminars, and facilitating participation in clinical trials and observations. Prior to joining SynMed Eleni worked in sports promotion and marketing for national football teams and leading premier league teams.
Eleni speaks fluent Greek and qualified as a FIFA licensed players’ agent. She has two children and enjoys tennis, cooking and family life.
Karina Miller, Sales Support
Karina offers a wide range of support to the sales department, to both our field and office based teams. Having worked in on both the Operational and Sales side of the SynMed business since 2008 Karina is well placed to offer the multifaceted response often required to deal with the multitude of varied tasks on a daily basis. From being the first point of contact with Sales enquires to supporting our Events Manager with SynMed training events and updating the Synmed Twitter account.
Karina is a fan of summer music festivals and prepared to camp in knee deep mud if necessary, she has discovered the joys of dog ownership having recently acquired ‘Harley’ her beloved Boston Terrier.
Andrew Stamp, Order Processing
Andy oversees the operations side of Synmed Ltd, a key role that keeps the cogs of day to day business turning and ensuring a smooth and efficient process of orders and goods both received and dispatched. Despite being often found buried in the darkest depths of the stockroom, Andy is known for maintaining a calm exterior even under pressure.
Glen Sealy, Bookkeeper
Glen has a strong background in company account management, compliance, office management and project support. Several years’ previous experience working in hospital and medical settings gives Glen a very good feel for SynMed’s core business and for the business needs of our customers.
Glen is an avid reader of fiction and has eclectic musical tastes ranging from blues and jazz through to classical.
Michael Nesbitt, Service Engineer
Michael is a vital member of the SynMed Team and travels the country from top to bottom ensuring that SynMed systems and products are exceptionally well supported and serviced. He also provides ongoing telephone support to all users.
As a certified pilot and scuba diver Michael enjoys both water based and air based activities. On a calm day he will be found flying one of the three airplanes he has built. If the weather is a tad windy he prefers sailing. When it comes to things technical Michael is the expert.
